2025/26 Season

Katelyn Osland

Apprentice Company Supervisor

Katelyn started dancing with 8:20 last season and is excited to continue her work with the company. She is originally from Fargo, North Dakota and moved to the Twin Cities to attend the University of Minnesota where she received her B.A. in Political Science. While at the U, she was president of the Dance Collective, a performance-based club embracing all styles and levels of dance. With over 25 years of dance experience across various styles, she has a particular passion for contemporary and lyrical. 

Katelyn is currently recovering from an ACL tear but has eagerly stepped into the role of Apprentice Company Supervisor. Katelyn has enjoyed mentoring the apprentice dancers and is eager and hopeful to return to the stage next season.

Ruby Briden

Apprentice Company Member

Ruby is a 17 year old who has been dancing since age three in a variety of styles. Dance has shaped her into who she is and gave her a strong foundation to grow. Joining 8:20 Dance Company in fall 2024 deepened this love and has allowed her to expand her confidence, creativity, and experience. Ruby is excited to continue this growth by merging techniques with passion and performing alongside amazing dancers.

Maddie Hartmann

Apprentice Company Member

Maddie is a sophomore at Waconia High School. She has been dancing her entire life. She has spent the most time in ballet classes as well as some jazz, but a few years ago decided to join modern as well, because she was inspired by the expressive form of movement. She loves the way that with modern she can really let loose and simply release her feelings into the art. 8:20 has been a great opportunity to get more time to dance and meet a variety of different kinds of dancers. She is so excited to get more opportunities to perform and learn from this group.

Mycah Burgess

Apprentice Company Member

Mycah is a junior at Waconia High School and she has been dancing since she was four. She has done many different types of dance but her favorites have always been ballet and modern. When she saw some of the dances from the previous years of 820 she decided she wanted to join and try it. So far Mycah is enjoying 820 and has had many experiences to grow from it as a dancer.

Amelia Campbell

Apprentice Company Member

Amelia has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She has taken everything from ballet to kick but her favorite being jazz. Dance has always been Amelia’s creative outlet and she considers it to be an amazing gift from God. Amelia has found great joy in dancing and loves the reminder of Psalm 30:11, “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.” Amelia joined 820 dance company this year to experience something different and she has loved the growth and newness that it has brought her.

Emyle VanDeWiele

Apprentice Company Member

Emyle is a senior at Waconia Highschool. She has been dancing since the age 5 of and, has taken all kinds of dance but her favorites are ballet, modern and, contemperary. Dance has always been a way Emyle could express herself through movment. She was looking for more ways to grow as a dancer so she decided to join 820 dance company this year to try something new. So far Emyle has loved 8:20 because it has allowed her to improve her dancing, explore diffrent movment styles and meet new dancers.

Kailynn Baker

Apprentice Company Member

Kailynn is a senior at Waconia High School and has been dancing for seven years. She has danced multiple styles, including Tap, Modern, Continuum, and Ballet. She has greatly enjoyed Modern dance these past few years, which inspired her to do more, leading her to the 8:20 Apprentice Company. She enjoys the way it pushes her to try new things and getting to dance with so many talented artists.

Quinn Swanson

Apprentice Company Member

Quinn is a sophomore at Waconia High School and has always loved dance. She has been dancing since she was three and it has always been a happy and positive space for her. She has always loved ballet and decided to join modern classes when she was twelve and has loved that style of dance ever since. Modern has always allowed Quinn a space to let out her emotions and fully immerse herself into the present moment while bringing her joy and a positive space. This is Quinn’s first year with 8:20 Dance Company but she has loved every second of it. Quinn has felt pushed and challenged with the company and has learned many valuable lessons while dancing with the company.

Leia Deboer

Apprentice Company Member

Leia has been dancing since she was 3. she’s taken all types of dance including modern, jazz, and ballet. She a varsity dancer at southwest christian dance team on kick and jazz. She took a break from dance for several years while competing in gymnastics but returned to do something she loves. this is her second year dancing in this company and has enjoyed every moment of it. Being apart of the company has helped her grow as a dancer in many ways and can’t wait to grow more.
